Continuing Education Coordinator (Part-Time)


The Delaware Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), with a statewide membership of nearly 400, is seeking a Part-Time Continuing Education Coordinator. The Continuing Education Coordinator is an hourly position, with approximately 10 hours of responsibilities per week. Applicants should be able to work independently to coordinate planning, promotion, and logistical execution of chapter continuing education activities under the guidance of the executive director and chapter volunteer leadership. Additional requirements of this position including providing excellent customer service and administrative oversight to the NASW-DE Continuing Education Pre-Approval program and assisting the executive director with other general office duties as needed. Flexible work schedules will be considered.

NASW is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 115,000 members nationwide. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies. The Continuing Education Coordinator reports to the NASW DE Executive Director.

Position requires:

  • Basic proficiency with Office products software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as working in the online/“cloud” environment.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with NASW DE members, volunteer leaders, and outside vendors.
  • Knowledge of professional associations and event coordination.       Previous experience with professional continuing education requirements preferred.
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Requires minimum of 2 years related experience. Experience working in a professional office setting with various stakeholders is preferred.

The Chapter office is located in Wilmington, DE; travel required to other Delaware communities, as needed.
